collector's guide

so i know i've been totals M.I.A. for a while, i went to thailand for a few days and prior to that i was losing hope in getting any sneaker inspiration from being in KL. i literally know of one boutique sneaker store whose range is minimal and stock is stale, not to mention super expensive. however when i got back i found a vans store plus a skateboard shop that sells supras and nike sb's(which i'm keen to get a pair of) though their models aren't that great. so more or less for my blog to blossom i need to be in a country where there's more of a sneaker culture!

anyways, my sister ordered me this awesome sneaker history book from amazon - the complete collector's guide. it's literally reads the history of all the big guns; adidas, nike, puma and so forth and goes through all the super vintage shoes - deadstocks, first editions and all that. really cool book if you want to up your sneaker knowledge but it doesn't cover any new kicks/trends. the onitsuka tigers you see above are an awesome pair, unfortunately not my own. the white and maroon-y purple colourway is a really great match. my sister picked these up from berlin 2 years ago. the toe box is lined with suede and the chunky collar is a kind of shiny snake skin print - very cool. these shoes are really easy to pair with clothes.

i know i always bitch about having small feet/not being able to find cool shoes my size. i thought the last pic was funny, for anyone who has the polar opposite shoe problem. ifshoescouldkill.com is actually a pretty random yet interesting site about nuts shoes:)

  1. I have that book and I have to say it's an awesome read. Makes for an excellent coffee table addition, always fun to flip through. Nice Tigers also!
