sneaker lit 101

my first sneaker book was sneakerfreaker the book, a compilation of all their mags from 2002-2005. i think the magazine in itself offers really interesting articles about errrthing sneaker related, and it features a few female writers too. pretty much have gone through this book a few times from cover to cover. 'art and sole' is my second favourite sneaker read, more of a lookbook of the craziest styles of sneakers, mostly customised - all delicious:) i LUST for the pair in the 3rd pic above. nike vandals customised by an artist called claw money, i would murder a good friend for a pair of these, for real. 'where'd you get those' by bobbito garcia is more about the history of the sneaker craze, from its origins of basketball and hip hop. he's also interviewed in the sneaker documentary 'just for kicks' which incidentally kicked off my whole sneaker passion - this guy knows his shit.
